Flagship Program 02
Food sovereignty,
Food sovereignty,
block by block.
Lineage Farms — through the FarmBlock model — converts vacant and underused land in Liberty City into productive urban agriculture that feeds the community and builds ownership.
The FarmBlock model
Each FarmBlock turns a single city block into a working food system: growing space, distribution, training, and local jobs. Food sovereignty means the lineage controls its own nourishment — not dependent on the grocery deserts that policy created.
Land the community owns
This is not a community garden. FarmBlock is an ownership and economic-development strategy — productive land held by the lineage, generating yield, dignity, and a hedge against displacement.
Tied to the Academy
Lineage Farms and McCartney Academy reinforce each other: students learn the land, the land feeds the school, and the block becomes a closed loop of nourishment and instruction.
