The school
the lineage needed.

McCartney Academy is a Black-centered K-12 institution anchored at Charles R. Drew in Liberty City, Miami — named in honor of Ralph McCartney, the Liberty City elder who once guarded those same halls.

Why Charles R. Drew

E5 Enclave's founder walked this exact corridor — Charles R. Drew K-8, then Miami Northwestern. The McCartney Academy is designed to fill the precise pipeline gap he lived through: a school that builds scholars and sovereignty in the same breath, in the community that raised them.

Named for an elder

Ralph McCartney was a Liberty City elder with Overtown roots who served on the M-DCPS committee that watched Booker Washington High phased out — and who worked security at Charles R. Drew during our founder's own years there. The Academy carries his name so the lineage is never forgotten.

Black-centered K-12

A full K-12 model grounded in the Five Pillars: academic rigor, cultural foundation, economic literacy, civic power, and spiritual grounding. Not a charter experiment — institutional infrastructure the lineage owns.
